Ebbtide Ground Forces: Tanks, Bradleys, LAVs and Humvees
Ebbtide ground units on Steam: tanks, Bradleys, LAVs, Humvees, formations, TAB control, National Guard and LAPD. Zombie survival RTS—stats not announced.
FAQ
Which ground vehicles are named on the Ebbtide Steam page?
Can you drive a tank directly in Ebbtide?
What happens when Ebbtide tanks run out of ammo?
Ebbtide, the zombie survival RTS by ProjectAlive, puts ground formations and armored vehicles on the same rolling battlefield as the gameplay overview describes—no separate mission screen, no hidden auto-resolve. The Steam store page names tanks, Bradleys, LAVs, and Humvees and ties them to squad formations, combat stances, and TAB direct control. Developer clips add movement, resupply, and physics beats, but not a full unit encyclopedia.

The tank callouts TK-1 and TK-2 appear as labels visible in the screenshot only; they are not confirmed as final unit names in release build documentation.
What forces and vehicles does Steam list?
Under Command Your Forces. Take Direct Control., the Steam page says you can:
- Set squad formations and combat stances
- Command tanks, Bradleys, LAVs, and Humvees, plus Apache and Viper attack helicopters (detailed on the helicopters page)
- Fast rope from Black Hawks or drop squads on rooftops with helicopters
- Press TAB to directly control a soldier, tank, or helicopter
The same page assigns operational units to National Guard, LAPD, and LA County Sheriff formations you can order to hold, delay, or withdraw, and to Marines from Camp Pendleton you can call in. How factions map to specific vehicle types is not announced as of 2026-10-22.
Operations map orders and resupply
In an Oct 16, 2026 post on X, the developer’s first operations-map video showed issuing movement commands to armored units alongside helicopter and air-support orders. That clip also showed main guns unable to fire when ammunition is exhausted, with resupply required—linking armor to supply and logistics at your bases rather than infinite street fighting.
Unit statistics are not published as of 2026-10-22.
Tank interactions shown in development
In a Sep 25, 2026 post on X, the developer noted that tanks can push roadside props—a physics interaction clip, not a full damage model reveal. Whether every destructible object reacts the same way is not announced as of 2026-10-22.
Pixel-art readability update
In an Oct 5, 2026 post on X, the developer described a rendering pass with 1px outlines and edge highlights, clearer unit silhouettes in hordes, stable pixel blocks during camera moves, and extra detail at maximum 2× zoom, including more readable weapons and camouflage. That post improves visibility of ground units in footage; it does not publish new stat blocks.

Artillery in this screenshot supports the combined-arms loop; M777 howitzers and other fires are catalogued on fire support, naval, and carrier air rather than treated here as a ground-vehicle roster.
Humvees and Chinook lifts
Ground mobility also appears in helicopter posts: an Oct 6, 2026 developer post on the CH-47 Chinook described lift options that include Humvees and mixed Humvee-plus-squad loads. That ties ground vehicles to air transport on the helicopters page. Vehicle build queues, crew sizes, and repair rules are not announced as of 2026-10-22.
Bases, convoys, and the ground fight
Ground units defend and resupply through FOB building and base defense—walls, gates, gun nests, fuel, and ammo depots on the Steam feature list. Truck convoys and helicopter slings move troops and civilians per the same store copy and September 2026 posts referenced in the development timeline.

The Arsenal screen shows individual weapon customization in the UI. Squad-level equipment progression for every vehicle class is not announced as of 2026-10-22.
