FAQ

What can you place at an Ebbtide forward operating base?
The Steam page lists HESCO and concrete walls, gates, scaffolding to fight from atop walls, gun nests, CIWS, mortar pits, an ammo depot, a fuel point, and lighting when you establish a forward operating base.
Do Ebbtide FOBs need supplies after construction?
A September 29, 2026 developer post stated “The FOB is built. Now it needs supplies,” matching Steam’s rule that units only resupply at your own bases.
Can zombies climb Ebbtide base walls?
Steam describes hordes stacking to climb walls and rooftops. A September 13, 2026 developer post showed stacks that gunfire can collapse, inspired by the developer’s World War Z reference.

Ebbtide, the zombie survival RTS by ProjectAlive, has you choose a location and build a forward operating base (FOB) from walls, weapons, depots, and lights—then hold it while the Nexus sends hordes that stack to climb walls and press every gap you leave open.

Read the gameplay overview for map-scale play, supply and logistics for keeping depots fed, and the FAQ for release and platform facts.

What does Steam say you can build at an Ebbtide FOB?

The Steam store page lists HESCO and concrete walls, gates, scaffolding so troops can fight from the wall top, gun nests, CIWS, mortar pits, an ammo depot, a fuel point, and lighting when you stand up a forward operating base. CIWS also appears in developer naval footage tied to destroyer defense (October 8, 2026 on X).

After placement, Steam’s logistics rules apply: forces only resupply or refuel at your own bases, so a finished FOB still depends on convoys described on the supply page.

What did September 2026 FOB videos show?

On September 28, 2026, ProjectAliveDev posted FOB construction footage covering perimeters, elevated walkways, open-and-close gates, defensive weapons, and lighting, followed by a second clip testing defense against hordes. Another post the same day showed squads entering, closing the gate, and holding.

September 29, 2026 added “The FOB is built. Now it needs supplies.”, aligning construction with the supply loop. Map placement ties to Los Angeles districts on the operations layer.

How do hordes assault Ebbtide bases?

Steam describes zombies stacking to climb walls and rooftops and grabbing low-hovering helicopters. On September 13, 2026, the developer wrote that since watching World War Z, they wanted hordes that stack on each other, can be shot down to collapse piles, and make rooftops part of the front line.

What does a surrounded FOB look like in development?

Store art shows a walled FOB with aircraft and guns inside while explosions and tracers ring a dense horde outside—useful context, not a promise of a specific mission layout.
